Why is this a survival recipe?
Egg in a Basket Breakfast Pizza is something that sounds totally random, but tastes amazing and is so versatile. It’s a great, crispy pizza and it’s very simple to make.
My favorite way to make this is shown below with feta, bacon and spinach, but I’ve also added an array of veggies, different cheese, and sometimes I make it with just egg whites.
- 1 Tortilla
- 1 Egg
- 1-2 tsp of Feta Cheese
- 1/8 cup of Spinach
- 2 slices of Pre-cooked Bacon, crumbled
- 1/8 cup of Shredded Cheese
- Salt/Pepper to taste
Step one: Preheat your oven to 425; crumble your feta and spinach onto your tortilla
Step two: Crumble your bacon and add your shredded cheese
Step three: Crack your egg in the center of the pizza; if you don’t like well done yolks, just use the egg white
Step four: Bake your pizza until the egg white sets on an oven safe plate, for about 20-25 minutes
Step five: Transfer your pizza to a cool plate, season and enjoy
